Peaks Island. New work by landscape painter, Lane Williamson, will be at The Gem Gallery, on Peaks Island August 7-12.
For Williamson, who has lived and painted on the Island for a decade, the forests, quarries, ponds and detritus of Maine's Islands are the muse. "An island's contact with the waterfront is like the ribbon decorating the edge of the package. The enticing part is the land inside: when fog rolls into an island woodland there is unimaginable magic".
