About the work.....

Solitude
An artist friend of mine and I were talking  about why we paint what we paint.  He recalled being a child at night looking out  into the woods he had been in during the day and being grateful he was now tucked indoors. He still paints that "spooky" world. I confessed that at the same age and at a slightly later hour at night, I used to climb out my bedroom window and run to be in the woods.  Listening to the deep sounds of night, smelling the sweet decay beneath me, strange wind sounds from high in the trees.  Tucked in damp hiding places, I was in my element.  My world view and my work reflect my lifelong belief that trees breathe, rocks weep, and the collective listens eternally.
There is time enough for us to share more about the work in pages ahead.
Oh, and please, after you've looked, give me your thoughts about these out in the open secrets.
